Live webcam views of river bars and harbour entrances on the Solitary Coast

NSW Maritime (or Roads and Maritime as they've taken to calling themselves) has set up remote live broadcast cameras in strategic locations along the NSW north coast. These excellent safety aids can be accessed in real time to check bar and harbour conditions from your home computer, or even from your boat using a smartphone. The benefits of this are obvious, and include planning for your day out on the ocean, and even viewing bar or harbour entrance conditions from your boat immediately prior to attempting a crossing. If you click on the photo at left, you'll be taken directly to the real time webcam stream from the Coffs Harbour camera, and will be only one click away from the webcam at any other preferred north coast location such as Brunswick Heads, Ballina, Yamba, Southwest Rocks or Port Macquarie. This great NSW Maritime website also provides tide times, marine weather forecasts, and a great deal of other information for boaters planning a day offshore.
